From the Pastor's Heart

One of Freedom’s mission values is UNITED IN SERVICE.  The slightly extended version of this is:  As a unified and gifted community, we should serve each other and impact the world.  During the month of September, we’re going to highlight this value.  The goal is for unified service locally and globally.  Read More >

TransU

Truth Project

Wednesday nights 6:30 pm

For the fall of 2010, TransU will feature The Truth Project, a small group study from Focus on the Family designed to equip believers with a comprehensive biblical worldview.  The Truth Project takes you into the nuts and bolts of Christian critical thinking so that biblical core beliefs get translated into our lives and beyond.  Most believers have never taken the time or effort to integrate God and His Word with their individual lives.  This class will provide a firm foundation for doing so.  Come as you are . . . but you will leave changed.

Women's Bible Study

"Here and Now...There and Then: A Lecture Series on Revelation"

by Beth Moore

"Beth presents many points of view, allowing women to decide for themselves when the interpretation varies among scholars.  She teaches that God is as specific about what He does reveal as He is about what He does not reveal."

     Tuesday mornings, 9:30-11:00 am - August 24th-November 9th

     Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8:00 pm - August 25th-November 10th

Recommended Listening from Allen

It’s been a while since I’ve done this, but I want to let you know about a worship CD that has really had an impact on many of us here at Freedom.          It is called Awakening and it is the latest release from the Passion worship movement.  Several of our college students went to the Passion gathering in Atlanta in January, 22,000 strong.  This CD was recorded live there.  Songs we have already done from it are Our God and Awakening, both led by Chris Tomlin and How He Loves, led by David Crowder.  Also, we did a song once called Healing Is In Your Hands that is on this CD too.  If you’re looking for some new tools to help focus your mind and heart on Jesus, I would certainly suggest Awakening to you.  Enjoy!

Chair Team Help Needed

We currently need a few more guys to help on our chair teams.  If you are interested in helping, please contact the church office for the opportunity to serve once a month.

Campus Crusade For Christ

Joanna Kelley, a graduate of OSU and a member of Freedom Church, will be going to Germany in September.  She will be living in Berlin, Germany for one year continuing her work with Campus Crusade for Christ, but on a German university campus!  This will be a huge step of faith to live in a place where few people know Jesus or have a relationship with Him, and few people even have the desire to hear about His relevance in their lives. But God is at work and she is excited to embark on a new adventure with the Lord.  Please pray that the lives of German students will be transformed by the Gospel, and that Joanna's own life will be changed and molded as she puts her trust and hope in God during this next chapter of her life.  If you would like to receive updates from Joanna, please e-mail her at joanna.rkelley@gmail.com to subscribe to her newsletter.  Copies of her newsletter are also available in the Mission Hall at church.
